- PAKISTAN: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP, a strong ally of al-Qaeda) recent reunification of various breakaway factions –Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, Hizb ul-Ahrar, Hakeemullah Mehsud group and a faction of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi– will pose threats to projects linked to China’s Belt and Road Initiative in northwestern Pakistan, according to analysts.
